The ticking is woven from wool, silk, and viscose to prioritize breathability and softness from the first touch. The upholstery layers progression begins with British fleece wool for resilience and moisture regulation, followed by the long, crimped Moosburger® horsetail to resist compression and maintain loft. Real Shetland Wool blended with cashmere offers a finer, softer transition, moderating temperature without trapping heat, while a blend of Real Shetland Wool and organic cotton adds body and absorptive capacity. The two layers of hand-nested, vanadium steel calico pocket springs—3,296 springs in a King size—respond independently to weight and movement for continuous support. The border is upholstered with coir and wool, reinforced by four rows of hand side-stitching to extend the usable sleep surface, and each tuft point is secured by hand-tufting with woollen tufts and twine to create a stable, consistent depth over years of use.
